GTST COACHING STAFF
Hello Gators, my name is Stacey Van Horn and I am a seasoned coach and teacher with a passion for swimming.
With years of experience, I have coached kids of all ages and skill levels, from beginners taking their first strokes to advanced swimmers honing their technique. My dedication to nurturing swimmers and providing tailored training guidances has been evident in my roles as a co-creator of Cinco Ranch 2 Swim Team as well as previous coach of Cinco Ranch- Greenway.
I also have contributed significantly to the development of swimmers as a coach for Power Aquatics USA club team.
My commitment to excellence is reflected in my meticulous approach to creating season training plans and helping swimmers reach their full potential.
In addition to my coaching roles, I am currently a Business teacher in Katy ISD. I am a mom to two wonderful young ment, Ethan and Eli, both of whom will be in college in the fall. Both of my boys were summer league swimmers, and my oldest son Ethan, is a current college athlete playing basketball at UTD.

Hey Gators! I’m Coach Mary Cate, and I am so excited to be part of the Gator family for another year! This will be my fourth year coaching, but fun fact — I’ve been on the swim team since I was five years old! GTST has given me so much over the years, and I love being able to give back by sharing my passion for the team and helping others have the same amazing experience.
I’m currently a freshman in college taking classes at Houston Community College, where I’m studying elementary education. When I’m not in class or at the pool, you can find me teaching preschoolers, babysitting, or walking the trails. A few fun facts about me: I love being out in the sun, and I recently picked up needlepointing as a new hobby!
After swim season ends, I’ll be working at Pine Cove Silverado. I’m so excited to see all the returning swimmers and meet the new ones. I can’t wait for another great year with the Green Trails Gators!

Hey there! I'm Julius and I've been swimming for 12 years now. I'm graduating this year on May 18th. I'm undecided for college as of now, but I'm looking particularly at Indiana University, UH, and the University of Washington. As for the summer, I plan to work, swim and go back to New Zealand to visit family. Some of my hobbies outside of swimming are biking, hanging out with my friends, and listening to music. I'm super excited for the upcoming swim season.

My name is Coach Pipa and I’m so excited to be one of your assistant coaches this year! I am graduating in 2026, and after this summer season, I will be heading to college to pursue a BFA in Musical Theatre! Outside of swimming, I perform in theatre productions, sing in choir, and serve as an officer in my theatre troupe! I love helping swimmers build confidence, improve technique, and reach their goals in and out of the water.

My name is Nikola, and this is my 13th year of swimming and my 2nd year of coaching. I am going to graduate Taylor High School in May 2027 and I plan to persue a degree in Aerospace Engineering. This summer, I plan on swimming, taking summer courses, traveling to Europe, and take a leadership role in the JET Band. For fun, I like to play basketball, hang out with my friends, and listen to music.
This year is going to be so much fun, and I am super excited to return to practice with everyone!
